Machuca Asi - 3D AD
Basecamp Studios approached the Paragram Team with the idea of bringing MadKobra's illustration to 3D in order for them to be used as Virtual Scenarios for a local Beer Brand.
The concept was to create a Neon Tropical Dominican Ghetto with very vibrant colors and out-of-scale shapes making a very visually appealing environment.
The Process
With the help of an amazing team of really talented people as Marcos Cordova (director) Cuadra Post (Vfx & Post) MadKobra (Illustrator) Marcos Devoto And Elvyn Santos as 3D Supporters, we were able to recreate these amazing scenarios filled with lights and colors.

Con la ayuda de un increíble equipo de gente realmente talentosa como Marcos Cordova (director) Cuadra Post (Vfx & Post) MadKobra (Ilustrador) Marcos Devoto y Elvyn Santos como 3D Supporters, pudimos recrear estos increíbles escenarios llenos de luces y colores.
The Enviroment
Recreating the essence of a Dominican Ghetto and applying the Neon tropical Aesthetic was kind of a challenge since with computer-generated images everything is "Too Perfect" so the real task was to model, texture, and playing with the scale to create these non-so-perfect backgrounds and combine them with the lighting of the raw footage filmed on set.

El Entorno
Recrear la esencia de un gueto dominicano y aplicar la estética tropical del neón fue todo un reto, ya que con las imágenes generadas por ordenador todo es "demasiado perfecto", así que la verdadera tarea fue modelar, texturizar y jugar con la escala para crear estos fondos no tan perfectos y combinarlos con la iluminación del material en bruto filmado en el plató.
